Registration for our October blind tasting seminars closes this week!Our popular blind tasting sessions combine a tasting flight from Master the World with personalized instruction from GuildSomm Education Director MS Chris Tanghe. Refer to the descriptions below to find the right session for you!While each seminar includes six wines, we will not taste all of them during the webinars, leaving time for open discussion and providing participants with the opportunity to apply the principles they've learned with the remaining wines. Send us your full tasting notes after the event to receive the instructor’s tasting notes to compare against your own.During the sessions, we will let you know when to open and pour each wine. Begin with a two-ounce pour so that you can revisit the wines following the webinar. Volunteers will taste live on Zoom and receive direct feedback from the instructor. We encourage you to turn your camera on as you participate.
Session 1: BeginnerMonday, October 28, 10am—12:30pm PST (1—3:30pm EST)Register for this session if you are relatively new to blind tasting or if this is your first virtual blind tasting seminar with GuildSomm. We’ll begin with an hour-long overview of blind tasting, followed by volunteer-led tastings.
Session 2: ExperiencedTuesday, October 29, 10am—12:30pm PST (1—3:30pm EST)Register for this session if you've previously attended one of our virtual blind tasting seminars. This session is best for well-practiced tasters preparing for high-level certifications or building professional competency.
