Am I the only one that has a problem with the idea of Woodhouse 'discovering' Marsala? Like does fortifying then buying up all the wine count as discovery?
Hey Kaylan and William! These are great points. I have updated the verbiage to "commercialized" as Woodhouse took a very unknown wine to a broader market. It's also great to see producers like Marco di Bartoli and Nino Barraco bringing the "Pre-British styles" back to life!
It’s an odd way of phrasing it. It was already being produced. It just wasn’t being mass produced and marketed.
