GuildSomm is pleased to announce the appointment of Trae Taylor to its board of directors. Taylor officially joined the board on January 1, 2022, for a three-year term, with the opportunity to commit to additional terms. Taylor brings important financial expertise and industry-specific experience to the board.
Taylor is a certified public accountant and an accounting manager with Allen Wine Group, a Sonoma County-based wine industry advisory firm that provides accounting and bookkeeping services. He specializes in managing multiple accounting departments for a variety of winery clients. Prior to joining Allen Wine Group, he was a senior accountant at Cakebread Cellars in Napa, and he previously served as senior accountant at Total Server Solutions and Aprio in Atlanta, Georgia. Taylor holds his WSET Level 2 certification, with plans to continue his studies. Taylor shared that he fell in love with wine on his honeymoon in Napa. “When an opportunity arose to move across the country to work in the industry, I couldn’t resist. I also quickly realized there’s an endless number of things to learn about wine and sought to advance my understanding through industry education.”
Taylor is looking forward to providing financial guidance to GuildSomm through his knowledge and experience as a CPA. “I hope to help grow the organization so more people can expand their knowledge and understanding of this wine world, just like I am.”
