Lukas Dempsey

Lukas Dempsey is the Assistant Vice President and Wine Specialist at Sotheby’s. He spent seven years as a sommelier at some of New York City’s top restaurants, including Masa (three Michelin Stars), The Modern (two Michelin Stars), and Le Bernardin (three Michelin Stars). At The Modern, Lukas helped the restaurant earn Wine Spectator’s Grand Award twice. During his time at Le Bernardin, the restaurant received its first Grand Award and maintained a spot on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. Lukas holds a Certified Sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers and an Advanced Award in Wines with distinction from the WSET.
